McKenzie's Poem

This is the Poem that my sister, Camree wrote for me.

Oh baby how I love you,
you make my heart smile
your my special little friend,
For you I would walk a mile.

I would do anything for you,
anything that you desire,
anything big or small,
baby, I'd walk through fire.

Just to be with you,
Just to hold you in my arm,
Honey i would fight for you,
and keep you away from harm.

You are the sunshine in the day,
the moon and stars at night,
you make me so happy,
that i swear i could take flight.

You are my everything and more,
you are the life that is in me,
You are the definition of beauty,
Baby, you are everything to me.

I wake up in the morning,
and you're all that is on my mind,
you are smart and cute and funny,
You're awesome, fun and kind.

So let me tell you today,
you mean the world to me,
you are everything I want in life,
Honey, you are everything i see.

We share a special bond,
one unique between two,
so i want to tell the world,
Baby...... I LOVE YOU!!!

Haiku

Haiku's are 3 lined poems that don't have to rhyme. Each line of the haiku is a different number of syllables. The Ones I did were 5, 7, 5. So the first line is 5 syllables, the next line under it is 7 syllables, and the last line is 5 syllables.

Rain Haiku

Sad tears from the sky
Wet and cold slippery too
Rainbows at the end

Nature Haiku

Trees sway back and forth
The sun lights up the blue sky
The world is at peace

Camree's Hospital Poem

I wrote this poem for my sister, Camree, while she was in the hospital, after getting stabbed in her ovary.

Oh, how you must hate the hospital,
It simply is no fun,
You'll be gone soon, the doctor says,
But it's now that you want to make a run,
Of all the bad places you have been,
The hospital is the worst,
And when you're allowed, you'll be out the door very first,
The plastic food they give you,
Could make Hades fall down flat,
And all the while, you'd rather be sleeping,
Tucked away like a bat,
But throughout the whole experience, remember that
Soon enough you'll be home,
standing on the welcome mat.

Poetry

Poetry is BIG feelings, in little words.
